Although numerous studies have been made about Asik Veysel; his musical perspective has been mentioned in only a small number of scholar works. Thus to fill this gap, this informative article aims to cover his musical biography in relation to the cultural environment he had been immersed to, including the masters' heritage shaping his music. The paper will be concluded with a technical analysis reporting the outlines of his musical background and cultural preferences supporting his musical production.
