Epistemological Value of the Qur'anic Exegesis (Tafsir) Made with the Qur'an itself in the Context of the Closed and Cryptic Expressions (Mujmal)

Abstract

The ambigious aspects of a word or a phrase become clear and definite when elucidated by speaker. In this context, some authors classified the method of interpretation of the Qur'an by the Qur'an under the interpretation based on tradition by considering it as a first source of this type of tafseer. They also defined this method as the explanation of ambigious words by the speaker (Allah) himself whereas, this method could be used through matching the meaning of a verse with another. Therefore, the conclusions arrived by using this method are subjective.
