The Origins оf the Ehtnonym Uyghur, and the Language of Ancient and Modern Uyghurs

Abstract

This article discusses the ethnic processes in Сentral Asia. The medieval history and language of Turkic tribes are examined in the article. Diachronic analysis method compares the origins of ethnonyms. Ethnic consolidation processes are considered.Ethnonyms often discover that they belong to certain language groups.
