CRUİSE TOURISM AND ENVIRONMENTAL RELATIONS
Abstract
Abstract: In the 1800s, cruising travels as a form of travel has started to offer a wide range of services such
as eating and drinking, accommodation, shopping, sports and entertainment. As the demand for cruise travels
into a tourism activity has increased, large cruise companies and the size of cruise ships has expanded and
the number of cruise ships has increased. The landlocked countries such as Turkey cruise attract tourists to
the country, and have built the main port for large ships to approach. Cruise tourism, which is growing and
becoming a sector, is a kind of tourism which is in direct relation with the environment. This interaction has
to be positive, especially when carrying large numbers of tourists, the issue of waste of large cruise ships has
emerged. In this study, the relationship between cruise tourism and environment will be examined and the laws
and regulations applied in this regard will be examined.
