Microwave Discharge Ion Sources (MDIS) are one of the high current ion sources which doesn't require maintenance for long time. Basic components are a microwave source, a plasma chamber, input gas, waveguides to transfer power from source to plasma chamber, solenoids which satisfy ECR condition above the plasma chamber, the gas for required ion type, a vacumm chamber and an extraction system to transfer ions from plasma chamber to beamline. In this study we aim to upgrade the existing 8 keV MDIS to a H+ machine providing a 1 mA, 20 keV beam. Additionally, a Low Energy Beam Transfer (LEBT) line is designed and manufactured to transfer the 20KeV protons to a RFQ. The performance of the LEBT Line is optimized via simulation studies using Travel Software. Currently the commissioning of the LEBT's solenoid magnets is ongoing. This study is supported by Istanbul University Scientific Research Comssion Project id: 33250
