Lateral displacement of Gaussian beams at a resistive strip located on a stratified medium

Abstract

The lateral displacement of a Gaussian beam by a resistive strip located on a succession of thin plane-parallel films is investigated. The results are obtained by using plane wave representation of the Gaussian beams. Numerical implementations showing the effect of the resistivity and the dielectric films on the lateral shift are also presented.
