Sulfur concentration of forest tree leaves on mountainous area of Biga Peninsula in Turkey
Abstract
Biga Peninsula is located in between Marmara Sea and Edremit Gulf (Aegean Sea) in western part of Turkey. Forest cover on the mountainous region of the peninsula are mainly consist of Kazdagi Fir (Abies equi trojani Aschers et sinten), Crimean pine (P.nigra Arnold Subs pallasiana), Calabrian pine (P. brutia Ten.), Orient Beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) and several Oak species (Quercus sp.).
