An Approach to Detect Loss of Petroleum Products due to Leaks and Evaporation in Tanks

Abstract

Algorithms are proposed for detection of loss of petroleum products due to leaks and evaporation in tanks, making it possible to make a substantiated decision about the state of a lank under the conditions of actual exploitation. Early detection of leaks in storage tanks is essential to avoid excessive economical loss and reducing the environmental and health hazards that normally result from undetected leaks.
