SUPPLIER SELECTION BY USING DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS AND GOAL PROGRAMMING

Abstract

In the competitive world of business, the companies have to evaluate their suppliers for the success of their supply chains. Several supplier selection methods have been identified and widely applied in the industry. In this research Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Goal Programming (GP) techniques are used to evaluate the pneumatic valve suppliers. Different suppliers which use the same inputs to produce the same outputs are evaluated. The results of the methods are interpreted
