Air pollution effects on forests in Turkey

Abstract

The first remarkable research about the effects of air pollution on forests in Turkey has been carried out in 1951. People are generally interested in visible effects of air pollution in urban areas. In fact, effects of air pollution on forests and plants covering the rural areas and, especially, sensitive mountainous forested regions have been neglected in the last period of years.
