PLEDGE ESTABLISHMENT ON CORPORATE SHARES

Abstract

The pledge on corporate shares is classified under the pledges on rights and claims. Therefore, pledge on corporate shares is subject to Turkish Civil Code (TCC) Articles 954-961 regarding "Pledge on Claims and Other Rights". In addition to these provisions, commercial law regulations also have to be taken into consideration, since pledge on shares is closely linked to corporations and commercial papers.
