Binding and Function of Occasion of the Revelation in Tafsir

Abstract

The scholars discussed whether it is the general meaning of the word or the reason for understanding the verses that came down to an event or question. While most methodologists and interpreters consider the general meaning of the word, some scholars understand the verses according to the occasion of the revelation. In fact, the difference between the scholars who accept these visions is not that the meanings and judgments are limited to the first interlocutors, but rather the way in which the judgment is transmitted to the indirect interlocutors. Those who understand the verses according to the occasion of the revelation reach the meanings by syllogism while others reach it by general meaning of the words. This study deals with the possibility of deducing the meaning or judgment from the verses in the absence of a narration which has been done by those who understand the verses according to the reason of revelation. The study firstly will determine the context of the discussions that are conducted within the framework of the general word and the specific reasons, and then the question to whom the verses with the occasion of revelation were talking to will be answered in terms of the relationship between the speech and the interlocutor in the methodology of filth In the article, it will be determined that the occasions of the revelation show diversity and contribute to the understanding of verses at different levels. As a result, it will be determined that they are arguments that contribute to the understanding of the verses.
