CREEP FEEDING ON SURVIVAL RATIO AND GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF PIGLETS

Abstract

Waste from food industries are commonly used in pig feeding, and this feeding method is used in the same way in pregnancy and farrowing periods of sows. Consequently, new, born piglets have lower survival rate and growth performance due to insufficient nutrition and milk production of sows. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of creep feeding with diets containing different levels of protein and energy on survival rate and growth performance of piglets during suckling period.
