dc.description.abstractPretreatment of hemp pulp with xylanase was investigated. Unbleached hemp pulp was treated with commercial xylanase, and then bleached with hydrogen peroxide. Control pulp bleached with out xylanase was compared with xylanase bleached pulp. Application of xylanase was found to have a positive effect on followed peroxide stage in terms of low kappa number and high brightness of pulp.
