Home accidents are rather common in pediatric age. One of the most life threatening one is foreign body aspiration. Clinical signs are sudden onset of coughing and cyanosis while eating or keeping something in the oral cavity. This may end up with death due to obstruction of the airway, or the aspirated material usually moves into either right or left main bronchus and the life threatening scene desolves and a subacute phase begins. Misseddiagnosed or late diagnosis may end up with complications such as lung abscess and boronchiectasia which are irreversible. (Turk Arch Ped 2010; 45 Suppl: 72-3)
