dc.description.abstract© Copyright 2016 by Türki ye Klinikleri.To evaluate cancer types, maternal and fetal outcomes of pregnancies that was diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy. Material and Methods: A retrospective analysis of 32 pregnancies diagnosed with cancer who received antenatal care at Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty Obstetric and Gynecology Depertmant between 2000-2015 was carried out. Clinical data were collected and analyzed after ethics committee approval. Perinatal and maternal outcomes were evaluated according to cancer types, timing of cancer diagnosis and treatment modalities. Results: The most frequently encountered tumor types in the women with a diagnosis of cancer during pregnancy were breast cancer (34.4%), gastrointestinal malignancies (15.6%) and hematologic malignancies (15.6%). The mean maternal age was 30.7±}5.3. The mean gestational age at diagnosis was 22.3±}8.8 and mean gestational age at delivery was 34.8±}3.4. The incidences of delivery before 37 weeks were 65.6%, less than 34 weeks were 28.1 %. 21 patients gave birth before thirty seven weeks, 9 (42.8 %) of them were due to maternal malignancy. There were no fetal loss, congenital anomalies and neonatal mortality. 31.2% neonates were needed neonatal intensive care unit because of prematurity. The maternal mortality rate was 12.5%. Of the maternal mortalities,1 had a advanced stage breast cancer and the remaining 3 had gastrointestinal malignancies. Conclusion: A multidisciplinary approach is mandatory in the management of cancer pregnant patients. Generally oncology treatment close to the standard protocols should be offered.
