dc.description.abstract | Template condensation reactions of 2-hydroxy-, 2-hydroxy-5-bromo- and 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-benzaldehyde with S-methyl-, ethyl- and allyl-thiosemicarbazones were realized in the presence of Pd(II)chloride. Seven novel Pd(II) complexes with the N-1,N-4-diarylidene ligands of the ONNO type were isolated and characterized by means of elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, IR and H-1-n.m.r spectra. The shielding effects of the palladium metal and the S-substituents on the arylidene systems are discussed. | |
