The number of individuals employed in Turkish lodging sector is increasing rapidly paralel to the growth of Turkey's tourism share in the world. Lodging sector differs from the other sectors in that the employees' performance directly affects the service quality and at last affecting the performance of the company. For this reason, lodging sector employees' job satisfaction level and its related organizational consequences had to be closely scrutinized because of the employees' constant encounter with customers. This study aims to assess the job satisfaction level of Turkish lodging sector employees and tries to determine whether there is a relationship between job satisfaction level and intention to leave. Respondents (n=1298) are the members of TOLEYIS trade union dispersed to different regions of TURKEY. According to research results, respondents were moderately satisfied with their jobs and have moderate levels of intention to leave. Job satisfaction levels differed with age, education level, tenure and number of stars that the lodging facility has. Job satisfaction accounted for %25 of the variance in intention to leave (p<0,05) among lodging sector employees.
