dc.description.abstractInternet has been more widespread comminucation tool than the other traditional mass mediums. Internet provides quick and economic communication to users by e-mail, chat and online forums. On the other hand it is used as a new medium by other media institutions. Internet journalism which started in 1993, developed rapidly until now. According to the researches, in 2008, internet is ranked as the second most populer information resourses while the most populer is TV. Newspapers could be the third information resources first time. Internet is accepted as new media. According to Rogers new media has three characteristics: Interactivity, Demassification and Asynchronousity. Milliyet's web site was choosen as the sample in our research as it is the most visited Turkish newspaper site in Turkey. Home pages were reached from online archive on Milliyet's web site. Samples was taken from home pages quarterly and 49 home pages were analysed. The main subject of this reasearch is to clarify the differences in Milliyet's website during last 12 years and it will provide us to understand the development stage of the newspapers web sites in Turkey. In the study, home pages are researched with the content analysis method. In our research, content analysis method will be used to appoint the existing.
