| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: Travel as a medium of self-discovery is one of the central motives in the works of Christian Kracht. He addresses the notion of disorientation on the path of self-discovery. In his novels, the travel motive serves to locate the Self in the world: Kracht’s protagonists search for their own place.
