An infrequent cause of misdiagnosis in esophageal atresia
Abstract
Inability to pass an oral tube in infants with esophageal atresia often leads to the diagnosis of this anomaly. This report describes an infant with a delay in diagnosis resulting from initial passage of an oral tube through a distal tracheoesophageal fistula into the stomach. (C) 2003 Elsevier Inc.
