dc.description.abstractBackground Many authors have shown that hyperglycemia leads to an increase in oxidative protein damage in diabetes. The aim of this study was to reveal the susceptibility of mitochondria from liver, pancreas, kidney, and skeletal muscle of diabetic Sprague-Dawley rats, a model of type 1 diabetes, to oxidative protein damage.
