dc.description.abstract | Atomoxetine, a selective norepinephrine (noradrenaline) reuptake inhibitor, is an effective and safe medication in the treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with or without autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children. However, unusual side effects may occur during the course of the treatment. In this case study, we present a 6-year-old child diagnosed with ASD comorbid with ADHD who developed atomoxetine induced mania during his treatment for ADHD. | |
