Investigation of organic matter removal from waters with adsorption polymers

Abstract

In the recent years, concentrations of anthropogenic organic matters have increased in ground and surface waters. Due to carcinogenic and toxic effects of some of these pollutants. they have to be removed, in order to guarantee safe drinking and potable water. Adsorption polymers are becoming alternatives to activated carbon for re-moval of organics from waters, wastewaters and waste gases by adsorption techniques.
