Combined effect of temperature and time on the flow properties of self-compacting concrete
Özet
In this study, two mixtures based on two composite cements (limestone addition and natural Pozzolan) were used to evaluate the effect of time and temperature on the properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC) in the fresh state. Both mixtures were tested to assess fluidity retention, T500 time and V-funnel time over time at a temperature that varied between 34 degrees C and 40 degrees C. Flow properties are strongly influenced by the combined effect of temperature and time. From the tests, it is noticed that the fluidity of the SCC is significantly reduced with the elapsed time. It is also noted that after 30 min almost all SCC lose their self- compacting character. In addition, there are also good correlations between the rheological variables of SCC. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
