LANGUAGE MEANS OF COLOR EXPRESSION IN ART WORKS DEDICATED TO THE WORKS OF N.N. GE

Abstract

In this article, results of the analysis of lexical-semantic and functional characteristics of words, meaning 'color' in Russian language are presented. On basis of linguistic and culturological approaches, semantic, symbolic and functional components of the meanings of words, meaning 'color' are revealed, depending on the works of art critics about Nikolai Nikolaevich Ge's paintings. Studying on language methods of color meanings in Russian language against the background of Turkish language gives the opportunity to see the functional characteristics and the usage of these units in comparative perspective.
