PATELLOFEMORAL PAIN SYNDROME
Özet
Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), is a common knee problem among the young and physically active persons. Overload, pes planus, pes cavus, increase in Q angle, congenital anomalies of patella, knee extensor mechanism disorders and dysfunction in extensor mechanism can cause patellofemoral pain syndrome. Current literature shows that conservative managements; exercise, electrotherapy, ankle and knee braces, taping methods etc. should be considered before the operative managements like lateral release, tibial tubercule transfer in the treatment of patellofemoral pain syndrome.
