Basic mystical concepts and problems/issues in the thought of ihwan al-safa

Abstract

It may be said that great sufis and same philosophers took the important part of mystical concepts from Ihwan al-Safa; however, they gave great importance to the mystical virtues besides religion, philosophy, rational and positive sciences in many places in "Rasail". Ihwan ai-Safa uses the way of sufism only as a mental means to reach the high information, not as a system.
