City in Terms of Historical Geography Studies and Ottoman City

Abstract

Evaluation of history has a nature directing the future. Determination and evaluation of features of place in the past establishes the principles regarding how to use the same places under better conditions. Because of this reason the evaluation of the manner of use and the manner of designing and the purpose of usage of the places by the human being or in another saying how he has been affected from the place and how he affected the place is very important. Furthermore, conditions of each period peculiar to itself and signs related with the life styles of the communities are also related directly with the usage of places. In this context, we believe that establishing the relation of time-human being-place in the best manner and achieving a sound result can be explained by means of historical geography studies.
