Guidelines for use of Biological Agents in Psoriasis: Commonalities and Differences
Özet
Currently, biological agents are used worldwide particularly in the treatment of severe psoriasis. Nevertheless dermatologists still have limited clinical experience with these promising new treatments. Biological agents should only be used in a systematic and controlled manner since they are relatively expensive, with insufficient data about their long-term efficacy and toxicity. Therefore, several countries developed national guidelines for use of biological agents in psoriasis, considering the evidence-based literature data and personal views of clinical experts. Our review's purpose is to emphasize the commonalities and differences of these guidelines. (Turkderm 2008; 42 Suppl 2: 60-5)
