Effect of copper addition to feed of laying hens

Abstract

Copper (Cu) together with some other heavy metals, would give rise to serious problems of environmental pollution. Stock feed and drinking water sources - for poultry, cattle and pigs- are contaminated with such heavy metals as Hg, Zn, Cu, Cr, Ni, Pb an As (Nicholson et al., 1999).
