THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVENESS (MODERNISM) IN RELIGION (ISLAM) SCALE: RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY STUDY

Abstract

In this article we present the findings of the reliability and validity analysis of the "Innovativeness in Religion Scale" that we have developed for contributing empirical evidence to innovativeness (modernism)-traditionalism that has been going on for centuries in the field of religious sciences. Although hard debates have taken place among those dealing with religious sciences, especially theologians, no scale has been developed to determine how traditional and how innovative people are.
