Investigation of the vocational guidance activities in state and private schools in Istanbul

Abstract

Background/Problem Statement: During the career decision making process, the individual needs a professional guidance. In Turkey, this guidance process is dominantly taken over by the schools. Questioning the effectiveness of the vocational guidance services of schools is not only significant for providing appropritate support for personal career development, but also for training more productive and well-qualified members for our country which is on the way of membership to European Union.
